socket 775 dual core cpu and it's compatible
since there is no speaker inside i cannot tell if there an error

But are they connected to the proper places. I would get the motherboard manual off the internet for you board you could find the model # on the board and check the pinout for the front.
I have had a faulty CPU fan short out my mobo just recently and as soon as I got another one it booted up just fine. I almost scraped the board before I found that one.
