As I said, timings can be set in the BIOS.

Mushkin used to be a good name, but they fell to the wayside a long time ago. I can't verify their current quality and I did some serious looking. G.Skill is solid, well known, and reputable.

If it were my build I would drop in the G.Skill, no qualms about it.

Ok... that's to bad about Mushkin. What are the timings in bios? i'm afraid i know very little about that except a little about overclocking the cpu.

Check your mobo's manual to see if it covers the BIOS options. If not, get in there and dig around.

The four numbers are these:
CAS# Latency (CL)
RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD)
RAS# Precharge (tRP)
Cycle Time (tRAS)

No, I don't have explanations for them, but I wanted to list them so you would recognize them if you saw them.
