Laptop Reccomendations

Hey guys, getting a new laptop soon, probably for Christmas and I was hoping that you guys could help me out with what I could get for $400-$500. I'd be willing to go to $550-$580ish but I'd prefer not to have too. Going to be doing a bit of gaming, but mostly photo editing and browsing the net. Thanks in advance.

15" and hdd size doesn't really matter tbh, just going to be using cs5 and playing cs 1.6 mainly.

You need a lot of power to run CS5. And under ~$600, that won't cut it. You need both RAM and CPU speed for it to work flawlessly.

Really? I ran cs4 on my old desktop that didn't even have a gig of ram. ._.

Thanks a lot, and I've got another question if you don't mind. I could get a desktop with slightly better parts for around the same price, right?

Eh.. Yes and no. The i5 chipset, once you buy everything new, it is around $1,000. You get more performance out of it yes, but at your budget, an equivalent desktop would be more. A $1,000+ laptop, sure, you can save a bunch on building your own desktop.

The Intel graphics are frowned upon. Get the Radeon 5450.

Otherwise, that looks alright, if you don't really need a laptop.
