Windows 2000 NT

hey guys, I'm curious to know, cause I dont have Windows XP. I know regedit32 is standard on Win2k but I wonder if its standard on all of NT systems including XP. Does anyone know for a fact that regedit32 ships with Windows XP?

regedit comes with XP, i thought it comes with all windows OS.

No not regedit but regedit32. They're two different programs, one is better then the other.

Regedt32 was the old way of editing the registry. it's only better to those that don't understand regedit.
Regedit is the better program if you have spent any real time in the registry.
not to discredit you Gabe, but I spend hours a day working there, and I can't stand to use regedt32.
the commands are there for either, but only regedit is found post win2k.

So if i'm typing regedt32 and get regedit, what was the original regedt32 like? I missed out on Win2k....

think back to win3.1 with windows in windows and that was regedt32.
You get a main GUI app and then inside you have nested views of the individual hives.

Uhg!....regedt32 must have been a leftover from old Windows NT 3.51...
