I think I'm gonna try a little something new, and get a GeForce 6800GT, since I've heard all these great things about them, and since it's supposedly the best card for the money out there. One problem: is eVGA really better than PNY, or BFG for that matter? I mean, I mean, I've seen a lot of PNY cards, so they can't be that bad...but is there really a difference that anyone has heard of? coz I don't want to get one and then realize I'm dumb and I totally should have waited 'till the store gets an eVGA in stock.

The eVGA is best becuase it has a larger heatsink that will make it easier to overclock to ultra speeds.

BFG comes with a life-time warrenty though... something to think about

yeah and BFG's have their overclocked series, but still eVGA has a one year warrenty and that's pretty good really.

my question is more about how they'd function...I mean, would a PNY work better than an eVGA, or vice versa, or neither, necessarily? that's more the issue I have...

I think eVGA would be the better brand to go to for stability and probably perform better, but not anything you'd notice really. But still eVGA I say!
