IT with an Economics Degree

So, I have an Economics Degree from UTDallas. I was considering trying to build a career in Business IT. Maybe as a Business Analyst. Do a series of certifications, and combine my economics degree with programming experience, and bridging my way into a consultant position somewhere down the road.

Does anyone know of any job titles I should research in relation to IT and Business?

Tough to say because every company has a different title for the same job. Most have similar job titles, but entail different things with a similar 'blend' of job responsibilities.

Your best bet would be to focus more on the job functions opposed to the title.
