Extremely slow HDD

My WD 500GB HDD has become astonishingly slow out of no where. Games either don't load at all or will take 10 to 15 minutes to launch. Copying a folder gets between 50 and 200kb/s. After doing a disk analyze it's 6.4percent fragmented, and 5 hours after starting its still on 1 percent, so i gave up on that front.

Really not sure whats up with it, or is it just a sure sign of death ? it doesn't appear to making any noises of sorts.

Tried that and nothing looked wrong. Put it in my dads pc, and it worked perfectly.

Well i need to Sanitry Erase my SSD anyway, so might as well go for the reformat and reinstall windows 7 route.

Well i used the same cable in my dads pc so it's not that.

I'm trying to create a bootable USB with HDDErase on, but whatever i try it won't work.
Know anything that works from experience ?

Get UltraISO, so long as the image is below 300Mb you can use it free. Easiest tool I've ever used to make a bootable USB. Just drop your ISO in and go Bootable > Write Disk Image. Then choose your USB device out of the list and you're good to go.

Now i have as factory fresh ssd at its full speed state, gotta not wear the drive down so quick this time!
