re apply thermal grease on my gpu, but i never did in the first place, beause it was "an out the box into the pc" gpu...?

YEs, you can remove the heatsink and reapply. The way they do it in factories is the cheap stuff.

ive got a spare gpu which i may stick in for a bit
but so far my pc hasnt crahsed today, yet

my gpu temp has dropped a bit, how do i re do thermal grease though, i have a nvidia zotack 8500 gt I BELIEVE

You have to find out how to take off your heatsink. I can't get a good pic of it.

i may buy a new gpu anyway, its a bit old and outdated the one i have
