Ok, it does have a small 4-pin connector.

I'm not really sure if this is mines but I think it is.
It's too late to open CPU case and check now, so I'll do it tomorrow.
Thanks.
EDIT : Mindovermaster, I was referring to the fan you posted but apparently you edited your post :D.
So it does have a small 4 pin connector, any ideas :D?

Sorry for the bump, but is it possible that a cable is loose/unconnected, causing the fan not to read the cpu temp thus, running at full speed all the time?
I had an IDE hdd but no IDE cable, so I went to a computer shop to get an IDE cable and for him to plug in the hdd for me. Is it possible he made something go loose? I believe the noise wasn't there before I went to the shop
Thanks everyone

There's no unconnected cables except for a small cable poping out from the power cable connected to my ide hdd.
are there any specific cables/ports I should look for?
My case is still opened and I'm talking from my bro's laptop.
Thanks

The hanging cable seems to be for a floppy, forget about it.......

However, it looks like your 4 pin cable is rubbing, or close to rubbing on the fan. THAT would be noisey!

Move that out of the way.

I got it away but the noise didn't decrease. Would changing the cpu fan smart mode from auto to voltage or PWM help?
Thanks.
