I'm no expert either, but i do know rivatuner is for gpus only, NOT cpu/system fans.

Speedfan does howwever.

Thanks I'll try that guide ( This fan is being really noisy ).
And yes I'm 100% sure it's the CPU fan, I opened up the case and powered up the PC and yes it was the fan making all the noise.
Hopefully I won't have to downgrade bios to check.

Downgrading BIOS will not help. PERIOD.

I think that problem wasn't there before the bios update, why wouldn't the bios downgrade help then?
And that guide doesn't work for me, I connect the CPU fan using 4 pin connector not 3 pin.

Then there's your problem. It is not connected to your motherboard. BIOS does not control it.

Get a fan controller

As in a 4 pin molex?

That'd be a major cause of the issue. To beable to control the fan it needs to go into the mobo.

The repl.acement fan was the wrong kind then.

I'm sorry if this is noobish but, I'm not really sure if it's a 4 pin PWM or 4 pin molex. what do you all mean with " Not connected to the motherboard ", the 4 pin connector is in its place in the CPU_Fan part in my motherboard.
It was really quiet the first time I installed it. Got any ideas?
