Recently I've been thinking of upgrading My PC for awhile now but the question dawned upon is this PC even worth upgrading and if so what components could I keep since I am tight on money $500 max for new parts. I built this rig 2 1/2 years ago and now when I'm looking around its amazing how much has changed @_@. So if any has some up to date advice for me thanks :)

Here is a very strong upgrade that can lead you in the right direction but after this i would take a newer GPU into serious consideration
but this will get you closer to the modern tech.

BUT this depends on your psu wattage
there's a little wiggle room in the budget if you need a new one.

Ram
Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL

 woa nice yea my current power supply is a ThermalTake Toughpower 700 Watt PSU which I think should be enough. I slightly have a preference towards gigabyte motherboards though. Thanks for your help :3

whats a good video card now days? I've primarily stayed with nvidia due to ati's problem with duel monitors flickering problem.

Depending on how intensive of gaming you're gonna do the best card for around 200 will be the GTX460 if you want bigger or smaller post a budget
