This is my first computer build. I have been doing some research. So this is what I have.

Computer will be used for gaming, and school work
The games that I play or want to play with this comp are TF2, L4D2, CSS, MW2. All on max or high settings. I may choose to play more graphic heavy games in the future but this is what i have for now.

Also this computer will need to last me for 4 years. I may choose to upgrade the processor and/or video card in the future.

My budget is $1500-1800 CAD, I will be using either newegg.ca or tigerdirect.ca for my hardware.

I already have the OS and software taken care of so no need to mention that.

Sorry for making you wait so long! Heres the BUILD!

So cool how it ended up as 1500. Please look at the parts i chose, as i am newb. This 1500 isnt including the shipping prices which i expect to come at around 70$ and the taxes where i live. 13% T_T. I'd also like to know if I need to overclock since the graphics card is already over clocked and the processor has that boost feature.

Wow I fail. I didnt even realize that.

Heres the one that Im thinking of purchasing.
Newegg.ca - COOLER MASTER Intel Core i7 compatible V8 RR-UV8-XBU1-GP 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler

Also If someone could tell me how this Combo deal is from newegg. I like everything since its what i had before or better. Except the Ram, I don't know if its any good

Newegg.ca - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

The first one and the second one are the combos i think are good.

Also, In the build i have above, besides the pump issue, is it good? Will it last me a good 4 years. As in stay alive and running, I understand the hardware will be outdated and to run the games at that time I will need to upgrade. But will it die on me or stay alive. Because I do plan to overclock it.

I figured that Superclocked was different then overclocked and it was something i wasnt able to do.

What can i overclock in this rig? Also whats recommended to overclock in general? I want the computer to last me 4 years without hardware fail because of overclock. And also is the warranty void if i decide to overclock?

I think i might need an adapter for that cooler, since it doesnt list s1366

I also would like you to tell me about this motherboard if its better than what I have, because it seems to have an easy OC feature, and a good layout
Newegg.ca - ASUS P6X58D-E LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Also that cooler is from newegg..com and im looking at newegg..ca cause im from canada. No worries I found it there too.

Also im considering of adding SSD to enhance my performance what do you think

And also I tried replying to the thread but it didnt show up so if it comes as a double post somehow im srry

Don't worry about the easy OC feature. You won't use it. If thats the only selling point its not worth it. Much better to OC in the BIOS. I have heard really good things about Gigabyte boards.

you should get a tri-channel kit of ram since the i7 supports it.
Newegg.ca - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8T-6GBRM

the caviar green drives are better for storage than main drives. i would switch it out for this one
Newegg.ca - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

if you think you might want to add another card in sli later on, i'd suggest you up your psu a bit.
Newegg.ca - SeaSonic S12D 850 Silver 850W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Active PFC Power Supply
