A few years back, I bought the HP w2007 monitor. I love it. The max resolution is 1680 x 1050. I can't seem to find the same monitor (I want to have dual monitor for coding), and the upgraded version of the monitor is only 1680 x 900. Come to find out, many monitors in my price range (<= $150) are only 1680 x 900. What's with that?

Anyone know a good monitor 1680 x 900 for around $150?

Thanks

Can't seem to edit title - should be Ratio :D

You can buy refurbished w2007's for around $125-150 and get your 1680x1050. I have a w2007 but wanted a 3 monitor setup for Eyefinity. Was going to buy some refurbished ones but got a good deal on some Dell st2210 (1920x1080) monitors so I bought 3 of them instead. I miss the glossy screen from my w2007 though but otherwise they're great monitors. For coding the larger resolution of a 1920x1080 monitor might be useful and with 16:9 (instead of 16:10) ratio, displaying 2 windows on one screen makes each window a bit wider.

I would not go with a 1680x900 monitor, you want at least 1024 height (the second number) else it will feel really cramped and small.
