attempted to clean my keyboard, outcome; notsuccessful

I recently cleaned my keyboard as well...though nothing broke.
I bought it about two years ago, just a basic Gateway keyboard, though I like it because of it's (originally) soft-touch keys, and very quiet. But over time that has gotten just as bad as normal keyboards...presumably from general use, and anything (food, drinks etc) that might have been brought by the computer.
I took off all of the keys, blew them out with compressed air, and washed it out with a toothbrush...took about two hours--and didn't do a damn thing :-/ Looks nice, but didn't help it any, hehe...I bought a new one for $10 (darn shipping
)...
So yeah...fun
