Ah, so my last PC kicked the bucket a few months ago and it is not worth upgrading or replacing the broken components. I have been stuck using this net-book and I can not take it anymore, but I have not kept up with the latest PC parts tech so I am unfamiliar with much of it.

I am wanting to build a Gaming PC that can handle recent games on high/max settings with some future proofing. I have a modest budget in the range of 1500. (not including in budget is monitor, keyboard, mouse as I have those all ready) I am not too adamant about being strict on the limit I just set, but I would prefer it not to go out of control. It can be either AMD or intel (is there much different between i7-920 2.66 bloomfield and a phenom II x6 1090T?) as I have no preference in that regard and would prefer a 1TB HDD (I have no OS for this so I will require one).

By the way I live in Canada, so would it be possible to use NCIX.com or Newegg.ca if you link the components? If it is from NCIX then I can pick up the items as I live in the same city as their company and would not have to pay shipping, but I don't mind much either way. Please help and thank you. : )

I would like some suggestions on an audio system for this PC, but I will not include that in the budget.

From Newegg.com that would come out at about $1,468.88 I believe.
You'll just need to reuse that monitor, the keyboard, and the mouse you already have. :p
And I think it would actually be a bit easier if you just copy-pasted the names of those into the search on the website. Maybe not for you, but it saves me a lot of time. :p

^ dude just copy and paste the address instead of the part name, there won't be any extra work involved, i promise .

and you would need to list parts from newegg.ca (canadian newegg) since that's where he's at.

@ Terra, here's a different build, totals 1,560 CAD before taxes and/or shipping.

Is there much difference between i7-920, 930, phenom 1090t, et cetera? I am so out of the loop for this new stuff. I really appreciate the help. Will I need any cooling other than stock if I intent to overclock it a bit?

I don't see anything with that link Pokher. : S

I can squeeze in a cooling unit muffin man since my HST (Lame new tax) rebate arrived which grants me 146 extra dollars towards the PC for tax and such. (12% tax bites)

^ i guess you didn't read his post either, he's in canada...

@ Terra, ok, i had suggested a cooler in my previous post.

I don't really like the case you chose muffin man and that is the last thing I have left to decide on. I want to change cases I think since I am doubting the Azza Solano 1000 Full Tower. I changed a few things here and there like the PSU to a corsair TX750W and a different DVD-burner. I am having a difficult time with the case and trying to find one I can stand looking at yet provide the needed space. Is the Antec Nine Hundred Mid Tower worth it? Also a aftermarket cu cooler that will fit in the case.

With the case I had selected and the deals going on at NCIX and a few price matches with newegg.ca the build is 1535$ so far. Would http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=44398&vpn=CWCH50-1&manufacture=Corsair work if I want to overclock the 930 to 3.8 GHz? I don't mind paying the extra over the other aftermarket cooler muffin linked. If I do plan to keep the case would that corsair H-50 fit?
