Computer Turns On, But No Graphics Or Sound

I just built a computer today with the following parts:

Radeon HD5750
ASUS P7P55D -E
Intel i5-650
4gb DDR3 RAM
Thermaltake Case with 450W PSU

After pressing the power button the computer turns on but nothing shows up on the monitor
I've checked several times to make sure that everything is connected in the right place and i've also tested another VGA card with the same system which produced a similar result.
Could it be a PSU issue?

Sounds like ram or something isn't "snug" or properly in place. Take the ram out and put it back in, make sure it snaps in snugly.

Verify all molex psu cables are properly connected to your devices/mobo etc.


Other than that I guess the only other problem is that you didnt ground yourself and ended up zapping a critical component. Or your monitor isn't plugged in correctly. Sounds like an easy fix.

ya man that does sond like a ram issue, perhaps one of your ram sticks got zapped, as takstool mentioned.

I just built my PC today and have the exact same problem. Good luck figuring yours out, because I don't know what to do =/
