title says it all.
My friend asked me to build him a workstation that he can use to work in autocad 2010 and do 3d rendering.
Since we're working with a tight budget, I'm going to go with a cheaper case and obviously smaller hdd.
pretty much all I'm going to need help with is picking up a right GPU, but if you guys feel like throwing some ideas here for a complete build please feel free.

you would need to come up with optical drive, monitor, mouse, keyboard etc.... but this is the best i can do for your price range and it will do fine for autocad.
total without shipping is- 558$

of course i'll be able to, maybe not the fastest one, but good enough for his needs. a year ago someone told me i wont be able to build a $600 gaming quad core with gtx 260 and I proved them wrong. its all about a right combination of combo deals just like hmammem showed us here.

couldnt find a cheap enough quad core, but triple should work fine, and like i said all these parts are future proof to a point. The ram is only ddr800, and not 1333(which is fastest motherboard can support) but its a good combo deal and will be fine since you wont be OCing....

^ you need to either switch the motherboard or find a different combo with different ram.

am3 boards require ddr3 ram.

ya either way!

personally i would go with more then 550, just to be safe on your expensive hardware.
Im running dfi s939 lanparty, x2amd, crucial 3gigs, 9800GTX+, 2hdds, 2 optical drives, fans....and im pushing my PSU hard its a 550watt antec truepower.
Always be safe then sorry ya? but since your not OCing and you want to save money you could by getting the combo muffin man recommended.
