also you can try to re install the client, this time, turning OFF any firewall protection u have including windows, then once installation is complete you can reactivate the firewall. also, i would try and connect it o an ethernet port for dedicated folding, wont have to worry about ip changes or jumps in connections.

Yha, you might be freezing the network with a firewall.

I use avast free and win firewall and never had an issue, or with an older avg.

You probably need to stick a exception in the resident sheild too.
