Blank screen laptop says change hard drive

I have a HP Pavillion tx2000 which is the tablet PC. A year after I purchased the laptop the screen went blank upon boot. Over the months it became more frequent until one day it would not cone on at all. Eventually diagnosis ran and said I should change my hard drive. I did but it still doesn't work. And I just bought this hard drive. I also tried to connect to a monitor but still doesnt work.

Do you have the latest graphic drivers? The onboard VGA might be turned off in BIOS by default. Otherwise, your graphic card is seeing the last of its days.

So most Likely it's the graphics card rather than the hard drive?
