Ok so I have begun over-clocking. Here are my system specs:

1 x ($69.99) MB ASUS M4A785-M 785G R $69.99
1 x ($49.99) PSU ROSEWILL| RV2-600 600W R $49.99
1 x ($104.99) MEM 2Gx2|GSK F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK R $104.99
1 x ($29.99) CASE ROSEWILL|R218-P-BK RT $29.99
1 x ($69.99) HD 750G|SEAGATE 7K ST3750528AS % - OEM $69.99
1 x ($58.99) CPU AMD|ATH II X2 245 AM3 2.9G RT $58.99
1 x ($25.99) DVD BURNER LITE-ON | IHAS424-98 R $25.99
1 x ($-68.96) DISCOUNT FOR COMBO #406250$-68.96

I am currently running at 3654 MHZ. I have raised my frequency to 252.0 MHZ. If I try 260 I get the blue screen of death. But my temperature right now is hanging at 45C when stress testing. What is causing the blue screen of death at 260? Do I need to raise my voltage?

Let me correct myself. Blue screen of death at 250..... I am now running at 245. so 3.550 Ghz.

hey man,

I dont know about this, but if you have something to add to a post, dont make another one, click the edit button and edit your previous post. Im just telling you so you dont get a warning by an admin, they REALLY dont like it when people do what you are doing. just a FYI

good luck and have fun!

EDIT: ( see I'm editing my post instead of making another post ;) )

try lowering your frequency to 200 and multiplyer to 19 and voltage of 1.48. that will be 3.8ghz try that

Ok sorry about that! Yup I am locked at 14.5!

Should I try staying at 245 and raise my voltage?

If I raise my voltage will it make it more stable to keep increasing the clock speed?

yea, but dont go over 1.5 volts and raising voltage will dramaticly increase your temperatures. then you start chasing the rabbit down the hole of chasing temperatures, gotta be careful its a deep and never ending hole.

I just spent $180 on water cooling parts cause I'm faling down that hole right now

Ok I am confused. I went into the Bios settings and Increased "CPU voltage" by a few increments. But the voltage increase doesn't show up on any of my temp software. And also there are 3 different voltage options...

CPU Voltage
VDDNB Over Voltage
Chipset over Voltage

I just want to stay with CPU voltage right?
