Another new rig I'm building again. Need some input on it, overall i think its solid though, but a second opinion never hurts before I buy the final product.

O.K. this game will be used for a gaming rig mostly. around $600-650 is optimal for this build $700 at the very max(including shipping) This is going to be a full build as well, so mouse, keyboard, monitor, etc... are all going to need to be included in this build.

Edit - No OS needed, this will be running vista 64bit (already have)

That rig will struggle to play any games, mostly because of the Graphics card. the HD4550 is a very, very, very low end card. You need to save some more money.

this build isnt for me. building it for a friend on that budget. any recommendations for parts to swap out for that price? i could go with a higher up graphics card, and maybe save a little money elsewhere? that or i could always drop the mouse/keyboard if need be and use that extra money else ware im sure i have a mouse/keyboard he can have for free laying around the house.

The biggest mistake you can make is cutting back on your gpu so,

Drop the keyboard, mouse, switch the 1tb HDD for a 500gb.

Also you dont need a 780w Psu get and get a good brand, I advice
Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W ATX12V V2.2 80 PLUS Certified Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

Also I know having a quad core cpu is nice but cut back to a duo core and improve your gpu

get a Newegg.com - XFX HD-485X-ZNFC Radeon HD 4850 1GB 256-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

If it is too expensive get a Geforce 9800GT or 8800GT
