Hello everybody,

Been lurking here for quite some time and soaking in much of the helpful commentary. Very keen to try my hand at building my own rig, designed mainly for high-performance gaming. Wouldn't mind to attempt some (reasonable) overclocking. Here's what I'm currently thinking:

CPU: Intel Core i7-930 Box 8192Kb, LGA1366
CPU cooler: Scythe Mugen 2
MoBo: ASUS P6X58D-E, 1366, ATX, DDR3
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 5970, 2GB DDR5, PCI-Express
RAM: 6GB-Triple-Kit Corsair TR3X6G1600C8D DDR3, CL8 (8-8-8-24)
HD: Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB, Western Digital5001AALS
PSU: Corsair TX750W 750 Watt
Case: Silverstone SST-TJ05S
Optical: Samsung SH-B083L, DVD-Blu-Ray
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit

Would love to hear some thoughts on this setup's feasibility / compatibility (in particular regarding RAM and case) and potential longevity. Much appreciated!

P.S. I've not included any prices as I'm pretty much stuck in Germany atm and have to be content with whatever I can get my grubby hands on...

Hi, I really like your setup,

But as for the case i would go with a Cooler Master Haf 932 an awsome bang for the buck
Newegg.com - coolermaster haf 932

And are you considering overclocking? If thats the case I would go with a i7 920 a lot better oc experiances in general.

ALso if you consider going crossfire, something to think about is your psu for the rest I luv it.

Thanks a bunch for the feedback. The Cooler Master HAF 932 does indeed seem quite nice. Looks like the case Vader would use...

Worth getting an NZXT SENTRY LX with that?

if your budget allows it and you like the HAF 932, you will LOVE the HAF X. i have it, i truly belive it is the best case on the market. check it out, they basically took everything wrong the did with the HAF 932 and fixed it with the HAF X.

other than that, this computer will tear anything ti touches to shreds, it will be a truly beastly computer
