Zip Ties on H50 Radiator?

I want to use zip ties to secure my 2 uber thick 120mm fans to my H50 rad. I have been thinking about it all day and i can not think of a single reason why this would be bad. I can get them tight enough to not rattle, they will easily support the weight of everything and keep it attached to the case. I will be putting 1 fan on the outside of the case, with the rad and second fan on the inside of the case.

I don't care the least bit that it will look a little dumb, but is there anything i am not thinking about? A boo boo someone else might have made in the past that showed this was a dumb idea?

Only thing i can think of now is if the change from cool to hot over and over will cause slack in the ziptie. If it does though i guess i will hear it rattle. Going to do it later tonight when i have some extra time. To be on the safe side i strapped a zip tie to this pot handle and put the pan on the stove. I left it on high for like 20 minutes and the zip tie stayed solid. That is honestly 50 times the heat this rad will ever get. The actual tie was hot to touch, but it remained solid.

Okay well zip ties did not work out for me. The corsair rad's screw holes were a bit small and hard to loop through. New plan; go to the hardware store, buy 4 L brackets and the proper size screws to get these Kaze fans on the rad nice and secure.

What i did manage to do was to move my rad/fan (the slow corsair one) to my 5.25" drive bays and use it as an intake. I filled it's empty slot with a Scythe Kaze. Dropped temps 10 degrees on my motherboard, around 10 on my gpu, but just a few on cpu though. For now I just have it rigged up in there kind of bad for the next day, till i get the proper screws and brackets to do this right. I expect a decent temp drop when i put it in there with the 2 Kaze fans. Here are some pics.

Project done. I am happy with the results. CPU now idles in the 20's and stays in the high 40s durring gaming. Super pumped. Kaze fans are so loud, going to buy one more for my read exhaust and a fan controller though. Also going to try installing this make-shift duct i crafted, but to be honest i think it might just hurt the flow i got going. Will try but fairly certain i will remove it. Might try to seal the intake a bit too, but not sure if i will bother.

Here are the pics of the rad modded as an intake in three 5.25" bay slots with two 120x32mm Scythe Ultra Kaze fans. From hardware store i had to purchase: eight 6x32x2" screws (32TPI, #6, 2 inches length), sixteen #6 x 32TPI nuts, four reinforcing small L brackets. I also used four 6" zipties. Total cost, $20.00 for two fans, $3 for fastening materials.

Looks pretty good to me. Is the radiator on an angle? Maybe get it vertical just for aesthetic reasons, if it's not possible then oh well. Nice job .

Had to angle on purpose. Want to try to get as much air out as i can as soon as possible. Got two 200mm top mounted exhaust fans taking care of that. Also wanted to steer that warm air current away from my gpu. Once the side panels and frot bezel are on you can not see the rad anyways.
