CPU isn't supported until update

I am getting a A785GMH with an Athlon II X4 630. The problem is the motherboard says it supports it after 1.10 update. How does that work?

Please explain, I don't want to have to buy another CPU just to upgrade and then put my good one in.

it sounds just like it says...

you either need another CPU to update the BIOS
or
buy a different motherboard that the Athlon II X4 630 supports out of the box
or
buy a different CPU that the A785GMH supports out of the box.

Ridiculous or not it is a fact. That board came out before the Athlon II line, so the BIOS on it does not recognize the Athlon II's.

This board however, will recognize and run an Athlon II x4 right out of the box:
