Upgrade Advice..

Hello one and all!

Right now i'm running a basic pretty much generic computer.. A Dell Vostro 220 Desktop.

Heres the specs at the moment..

Processor - Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5400 @2.70 GHz
2.00 GB RAM
ATi Radeon 3600 HD Series

I couldnt say which motherboard, but I think it's the default one you get the Desktop it's self..

And basically all i'm asking you guys, as gamers.. I want to upgrade my graphics card, but I dont know to which one I want to upgrade too.. Any suggestions? If you think I need to upgrade anything elce, please tell me. I dont have a price range at the moment, but nothing really expecive.. UK currency please..


Oh and if I could just upgrade the graphics card and keep everything elce, what would you suggest upgrading to?

Dell's online manual for the Vostro 220 was useless as far as specs go.

Odds are you will need to replace the power supply (PSU) in order to use a more powerful graphics card.

As for the card itself, it will depend on your budget and operating system. If you are running XP or Vista, I would recommend a 48xx card; if you are running Win7, I would recommend a 5xxx card.
