Upgrading CPU

I have a Athlon x2 3800+ which is 2.0Ghz. I read reviews about the fact that this CPU OCs really easy. Although, my motherboard is too cheap and old to OC the processor. Therefore, it doesn't support CPUs higher than 5000+. So my question is : Is it better to buy a new MB+CPU for around 150-200$ or just wait 1-2 years and buy a whole new rig. Thanks
