I have an OLD system:
Dell Dimension E510
Windows XP
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00ghz
Mfg Date: 11/2005
We got the Blue Screen of Death with this message:
"The problem seems to be caused by the following file: ialmrnt5
error code is: 0x000000EA (0x86517910, 0x868CD3DO, 0xF7975CBC, 0x00000001)"
and it said something like "the device driver got stuck in an infinite loop"
We ended up restoring to factory settings. then started getting this message:
Drive 1 not found: Serial ATA, SATA-2
Floppy diskette seek failure
I hit F1 and started the system and went to F12 and checked the boot sequence.
the boot sequence was as follows:
1. onboard or USB floppy Drive (not present)
2. onboard SATA Hard Drive
3. onboard IDE Hard Drive (not present)
4. onboard or USB CD-Rom Drive
5. USB Device
so, obviously it's booting up on #1 which is wrong..what should the correct sequence be?
#2?
Let me just tell you that even after restoring it back to the factory setting, we're still getting the ialmrnt5 message (problems with the display driver?)
What dos this mean and how, if possible, do we fix it?
Thanks
This computer is being used for work, so it's pretty important that it get fixed, IF it can be fixed.
