My Dell inspiron 1501 quit working a few months ago after a fall so I bought a new pc. I sold the Dell on ebay for parts, and since it won't turn on, I cannot wipe the HDD clean. I certainly don't want him to have access to all my photos, documents, financial information, etc. If I remove the HDD from the laptop, will this remove all my data?
Is my Dell safe to sell?

removing the hard drive will remove your data. You can then connect it to your computer and retrieve the data. After that you can run a data nuke program on it, and put it back if you do not want the drive.
