The temperature in my house is usually mid 80's (f) so maybe that has to do with it? And when i say the battery elevates it, i mean this: (not my laptop) As you can see in my first post, i was doing some heavy tasks on my laptop before running hwmonitor. Task manager showed cpu at 100%.

patonb Golden Master Messages 9,748 Location In Gov't Regulated Cubical Jun 24, 2010 #14 If you have a cooling pad, like you had said initially, I think with your ambient, youre boned. I guess if you lifted it more to allow air to flow out past the battery, you'd be pretty angled.
