Help Plz...

Hi my friend recently ordered a computer off of the internet and he brought it over so I could put it all together for him and everything is put in like it should be but for some reason when I power on the bios doesnt show up on the monitor at all any of you know what the problem could be?? The system came as a barebone the only thing I added to it was a cd-rom, RAM, Vid Card,and hard drive...

specs are::

ASUS A7V8X-X
AMD 2800+
GeForce 2 mx400
Western Digital 80gig HD
256mb RAM

try re inserting the graphics card, check monitor plug, try different graphics card,

Put the system together piece by piece.

Try first just booting off of the mobo and cpu. Then add in the ram, then the HD. And keep adding up.

This will let you isolate the problem.

im not sure but i think that this motherboard only supports agp video cards...the cards i tried in it were both pci cards and they didnt seem to work....can anybody clarify that it only supports agp cards??
