MicroSD I/O error.

So I can't open a brand new PNY 8gb microSD card on my computer. I can open it and load stuff onto it on my phone but not a computer. I formatted it from my phone but no change. My computer runs a Kingston 2gb micro and other computers won't run the 8gb it so it's not my hardware but is there anyway to use it or is it expensive bite-size trash.

What kind of reader/computer do you have? Perhaps it cannot handle the size.

Can you acces it when in the phone connected to your computer via usb?

It's just a generic Emachines usb/card reader hub on my w3107. I thought that might be the issue but i tried my newer (2007-8?) acer and its oem hub and i got the same results. (Then again Acer/emachines is a economic value brand so it just might be too big for them.)

And yes I can access the card from the phone through usb which makes it not worthless but less flexible so thats most of my problem solved thx
