Graphic Card Questions

I recently picked up a Radeon 4890 for $119 on clearance at best buy, I was already running a 4850 both are 1gb models. I was wondering if anyone knew if I would be better off running a mixed crossfire setup or just the 4890? From the research I found it would basically downgrade the 4890 to a second 4850 which is showing higher on the performance list that the 4890. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am generally happy with the 4890 atm so it is not a big enough deal to purchase another(althougth i did have them call around in the area and no others had it).

you are correct it would down clock the faster graphics card to the same speed as the slower one, but you would definitely see an improvement in performance with 2 cards

^That depends on both the game, how well it scales in xfire, and the resolution... You will gain, but will it be worth the increase in power demand......

I would just sell your 4850 for $50-70.
