For Intel i7 on a relative budget, the Gigabyte X58A-UD3R is a great board, may not be the best but I would say best in its price and feature range. It's LGA1366, supports USB and SATA 3.0, has the Ultra Durable 3 design, and is cheaper than its competitors while offering more rear ports (mainly USB, the Gigabyte has 8 while most others have 6, the Gigabyte also features 2 eSATA and 2 Firewire on the rear panel).
I've been very happy with it although it is known to make a "squealing" noise at some RAM frequencies and I have noticed it but it isn't a huge issue.
