Newbie looking for help on my first build

i pretty much picked out these items based on my ~2000 budget (dont know anything about compatibility) dont know if this works

DDR3 12 GB 1600MHz CL9 Patrio (3x4 modules)
Asus Rampage II Gene i7, Intel x58 / ICH10R mATX
2.8 GHz 4.8GT/s 8MB cache Intel Core i7 930
Thermaltake TR2 850W Psupply
128GB SSD V Serie KINGST 2nd Gen 200mb/s Hardrive
GTX470XPB graphic card

If this was ur computer, would u make any changes?
any suggestion would be helpful thanks !!!

id go with a intel i7 920 and a radeon 5870 or 5970...

Is there a particular reason you would down grade to i7 920? is it a compatibility issue, hehe sry cus i kinda dont know anything.

If you're overclocking, the 920 is known to overclock a lot better than the 930. If you're leaving them stock, I'd stay with the 930.

Is there a reason why you're going with 12GB of RAM? I'd go with a 6GB configuration, as you probably will never use nor come close to using 12GB of RAM, if you're a gamer/mainstream user.

Also, you can save some headaches going with a smaller SSD and an additional hard drive. If your budget allows for the large SSD and a good hard drive, then stick with it, that way you have an ample amount of space for programs used most regularly.
