Simple question ..
Ive always wondered what happens with the files that you delete in the basket.Does they stay somewhere in the computer or they disappear completly? If you have deleted a big ammount of files during a long period can it slow down the hard-drive and/or other hardware at the end?

when you delete a file from the basket it removes its index from the allocation. Its still floating there somewhere, but its location is marked as "available for use" and until its over writen is still there. Writing zeroes to a drive will remove it and make it unrecoverable without very special tools.

technical term for completely erase it

you might think a mp3 file is just music, but it is also numbers in data terms

10010101010001001111010001 that kind of stuff?
anyway how do i completly remove a file?"zeroing" it

And if i replace a bad folder by one good folder of the same name, would it completly remove it?

also, naming a file the same thing after deleting a file wont over write it. keep in mind, even writing zeroes data can STILL be recovered, but only by very special forensic tools. To make data unrecoverable a utility is needed to alternatly write 0's and 1's on the data in multiple passes.
