I'm sorry to hear that! :cry: It was a good computer. Only two years old.

What I can do is to keep all the harddrives, cards and the cd-drives, and use them elsewhere.

And, if the motherboard is broken, I will lost the Windows Vista operating system. If I'm not misinformed the OEM license is tied to the motherboard. I can't take the Windows installation CD and install it on another computer.

I will not lost any data, because I've always been careful taking backups. :smile:
 
Good for you, some people don't take the time to backup, then their drive fails.

Yes, OEM is tied to your computer. You do not have to buy another box. You can easily buy a new license from Microsoft. Or just get Windows 7 :)
