Quick question bout' 2006 Geforce 8800 gtx video card?

I bought a whitebox from a friend and it has this card in it, I'm thinking about using it for a new build //

I'm wondering how this might perform/hold up against today's games/ is it still a decent card?

It is still a very decent card today. It is the same (if not better) than the 9800 GT. It will play games on decent settings, even modern games, except maybe a few like Crysis and a few that are coming out now. Crysis will be playable on medium settings. So if you don't care to put your graphics on medium you are fine.

Crysis is somewhat playable (roughly 30 fps avg) at mostly high settings (at least for me) on an 8800GTS 320 MB, so you should be perfectly fine
