usually i can boot into windows by going into the bios, resetting everything to default, and or booting into safe mode and then restarting, this has never happened until i had windows 2k3 S installed so im guessing its an OS problem, it says my new hardware or softwar emay not be configured or installed properly. any ideas? I plan on going back to win2k or wxp pro i just want to find out if anyone has any ideas of why this may be happening

firstly, you should have paid for the shipping :) thats is why microsoft is taking revenge :) haha, anyway.

everything after windows XP has some problems in hardware accessibility by default. do you have updated drivers of the hardware components? also did it booted well first time? I had trial tested Longhorn, and it was like i've installed windows95 on my PC, asked for every driver. and I was so pissed off, that had to get rid of it immediately.
