A i5 is newer architecture than Pentiums, you will get faster performance.

I guess you could get a regular Blue-ray device and put it in a 5 1/4 external case.

Wait, so I would buy the drive seperately and then make a case for it. Hmm, I probably could do that.

Ok guys, sorry to revive a dead thread, but I'm really liking the MSI A6200-021US. It has wondows 7 home premium, 2.26ghz i5 processor, 15.6" display, 4 Gig DDR3 Ram, 320 Gig Sata Harddrive and normal disc drive all for $700. So, what do you think? Good deal, bad deal etc. Also I had a few questions, can anybody give me any opinions on MSI's products and customer service? As well, if you guys had any suggestions of any Asus models in the under $700 dollar range? Thanks a ton.

NP Underdog, until we get all your questions in one thread ;)

I know MSI from the motherboard perspective, but one crashed on me, RMA,came back, crashed again. As for their laptops, they are good. ASUS is better than anything IMO :p

ASUS for what you want, It will go over your budget.
