help with laptop

hi guys i had a laptop with windows 7 UL and i had sold it on ebay, and before i shipped it im pretty sure i had it hooked up to the internet BC i had 2 of them.

the buyer says it can not go online/internet explorer is there anything i can tell him to do or what might be wrong ????please help

i had 2 of the same laptops and i had both connected to the internet , so i sold them on ebay and one guy said he cant get internet....every time he clicks on it...it does not get internet but his other computers does

This is going to be a pain because we are telling you how to troubleshoot so you can relay that to someone else...

Have him open the command prompt and type "ipconfig /release" then "ipconfig /renew" without the quotes.

if that doesn't work have him just type ipconfig and tell us what shows up.
