*edit* updating as i go

Ok can you rate this build for a gaming computer?
I already posted a few days ago and got some great help and set me in the right direction, i opted to try and see if i could balance out what i want and what i need , with how much money i'm comfortable spending.

I realised my current monitor only supports up to 1600x1200 resolution, and has no hdmi inputs or anything, si i decided i will also get a new monitor, since 1900 is a better resolution to play games at!

I also went shopping for a gaming mouse, and still need a keyboard but haven't settled on one yet.

I went with the amd965 simply because i can't reallya fford to spend any more than i've laid out,a s a matter of fact its already over budget, after taxes, but nearly 200 dollars. but i do think its a system i could be excited about, but i need opinions, and if its bad let me know! i dont take it personal, i still have approximately 5 days until the purchase go's thru as well, so time to think.

Anyways here it is;

That is all from the website NCIX.com - Canada's Premier Computer Store - Great Technology, Service and Selection. , and does not include the 5% tax i would be charged. so the grand total would be approximately 1400.

For what i'm getting i think it's a decent deal, but not sure. i have also not done price matching yet.

I was considering a merc stealth keyboard? is that good for gaming? i would play mostly fps / mmorpg / strategy games.

and is Merc Stealth a good keyboard? mostly playing rts games, or fps, or mmorpg
suggestions?

That G.Skill memory has awful slow latencies. This is a popular memory kit used by a lot of people around here for AMD and Intel systems. It has faster latencies and a lower pricetag.
NCIX.com - Buy OCZ OCZ3G16004GK Gold 4GB 2X2GB DDR3-1600 CL8-8-8-24 240PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit - OCZ3G16004GK In Canada.

Most modern motherboards come with built-in 7.1 HD Audio, not many people buy Sound Cards anymore. You can always buy one on sale at a later date if you have to.

It's not hard to assemble the components all by yourself, check this link out :D

get the x4 955 instead and save your money. the x4 965 is only clocked 200mhz faster, which you can do yourself on the x4 955.
NCIX.com - Buy AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Quad Core Processor 3.2GHZ AM3 8MB Cache 125W Retail Box - HDZ955FBGMBOX In Canada.

and actually, there's a little combo deal with that same mobo you listed,
NCIX.com - Buy NCIX Gaming Bundle Deal AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black & Gigabyte 790XTA-UD4 CrossFire DDR3 Motherboard - X4-955 & 790XTA-UD4 In Canada.
saves you $7. it's not much but you might as well.

OK so i found out the mobo is from an old 700 series chipset, which has now been replaced by the 800 series chipset, so i was thinking of going with an 800 SERIES MOBO instead,

could anyone reccommend a good 800 series mobo for me? i'll also be removing the sound card, and getting the cheaper ram, so i have some room to breathe.

And i do not know how to overclock, if i go with the 955 would overclocking be easy? and my performance would still rock?

I edited the first post so the computer is updated to where it stands now.

both the 955 and 965 are black editions, meaning they have an unlocked multiplier.

at stock speeds,
the 955 is clocked at 3.2ghz (200mhz bus speed x multiplier of 16 = 3200mhz clock speed)

the 965 is clocked at 3.4ghz (200mhz bus speed x multiplier of 17 = 3400mhz clock speed)

all you would have to do with the 955 is increase the multiplier by 1, from 16 to 17, and voila, you get 3.4ghz. it's not hard :)

just so you know Newegg.ca or com if usa have cheaper prices on every thing you listed lol
Newegg.ca - AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache
188.$
Newegg.ca - Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
109$ but comes with 20$ off promo code (instant) 89$
I can go on but i think you get the point :p also why not go with the amd 6 core? 210$ apx 30$ more then your quad core for 2 more cores :p >>Newegg.ca - AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Thuban 2.8GHz 6 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor

Just bought an Antec Earthwatts 650 like an hour ago, I am ordering a PC for it soon but from looking at the PSU it seems to be a good quality one. It's heavy (meaning it has big transformers, a lot of heatsinks, etc) which is a good quality indicator on PSU's. It is also quiet under no load (I would think the fan speeds up if it gets hot, so I don't know how loud it gets under heavy load).
