Need to hit the gym.

Just finished lapping my thermalright cpu cooler and my arms are really sore since it took about 3 hours. Hopefully something that takes that long will actually be beneficial. Has anyone on here ever tried getting their cooler lapped by a machine shop because at the university we have a whole lab that specializes in lapping and micro finishing? I might ask for their help next time just to see how it turns out.

I'd go for it, save yourself some time
The only reason to do it laboriously by hand is so that you get a perfectly flat surface. If you've got a machine which can do the same job, use it!
