I've never had a hard drive with a 32 or 64 mb cache, although I can theoretically how the slowest link on the pc can use help. The hard drives with 32 mb cache do not seem too expensive.
Has anyone notice any noticeable boost in performance from these large HD caches? I plan to at least put a 32mb HD in a system where I want high performance, maybe a 64mb.

You will barely notice a difference, going with any 32MB or 64MB configuration, between the 2. If you want performance look into SSD's.

When I buy a drive, I look at price, and compare the warranties.

That's too bad. Hard drive is such a slow link on the pc. I was hoping these larger caches could make a significant difference.
I never thought about comparing warranties, I will have to look into that.
SSD's seem very interesting, I may try them in the future. Right now I don't have th cash to play with them.
