I'd go for the 5670. Newer card with better support of new technologies (DX11).

Is it better to have GDDR5 128-bit or GDDR3 with 256-bit?
It doesn't really make much difference - the overall speed of the card is much more important.

And is GDDR5 faster or slower than DDR5?
In practice there's no such thing as DDR5, so it's a moot question ;)

Oh my bad i saw DDR5 on the link to the 5670 i didnt bother checking the actual specs.

Which card here would be the best overall? the 5670? taking price into consideration too.

The 5670 is the better of the 3. It's going to outperform the 4670, by just a tad bit. It'll barely outperform the 9800GTX+, if any at all. That's with DX9, and DX10 though. With the 5670, you get DX11 capabilities, which neither of the other cards can use.

A 4850 would be a good choice, if you're not worried about DX11. You can probably find 5750's for about the price you're wanting to spend.

is directx 11 over 10 that much of a difference? how much would it affect my computer and games that i play?

With tessellation and such that DX11 features over DX10 and DX9, you'll see a HUGE difference. Tessellation will demand more out of your GPU and CPU. Not a lot of games have adopted DX11, and those that have are at least DX10 enabled games. If you're not ready for the DX11 jump, or want to save a little money going with a DX10 card, there is no problem with that. Here's a good link to show you the different between DX9, DX10, and DX11. If you can get a GPU powerful enough to use the features of DX11, I would highly suggest it. :D
