Monitor loves to sleep

I have a Samsung SyncMaster 191T LCD Monitor and have noticed a problem that happens off and on.
First off I have the power setting to turn off monitor after 15 minutes.
If I am away for an hour or 2 and go back to the computer and move the mouse and my monitor flashes light I can see the desktop then it goes black as if it is confused... I move the mouse and it lights up again. If I stop moving the mouse it goes black. If I move the mouse it lights up but doesn't stay on. I then reboot or move the mouse for a minute solid and all is ok. Any ideas?
One thing I have done is add 1 gig of ram. The system works fine, no error messages at all. I had this happen 1 time before I added the gig so it may not be a factor.

have you gone back to your power settings to see if anything is wrong there?

hmmmmmmmm..... thats got me stumped...... play loud music on your computer as sleep deprivation for the monitor.

Is anything different when you change the power settings to where the monitor does not turn off automaticaly? And when you leave, press the power button your self.

See if that works.
