i know that i5 is better than amd 955 what so ever but yeah still trying to build a new rig for my brother, i need help and ideas about this so if people can help me please i will really appreciate it.

we already decided about the gpu (5770), RAM (G.Skill), MOBO (unsure yet), power supply that is efficient to run the components (GPU and everything) and as much as possible a quite rig for him.

also if monitor is enough with the build also need it.

GPU Scan.co.uk: HD-577A-ZNFV - 1GB XFX HD 5770, PCI-E 2.1, 4800MHz GDDR5, GPU 850MHz, 800 Cores, DP/ DVI/ HDMI, Aliens vs Predator

PSU Scan.co.uk: 550W Corsair CMPSU-550VXUK, ATX, PS/2, 5 year Warranty

CPU Scan.co.uk: BX80605I5750 - Intel Core i5 750, Lynnfield 45nm, Quad Core, 2.66GHz, 8MB Cache, 95W, Retail

Mobo Scan.co.uk: MSI P55M-GD45, Intel P55 Express, S1156, PCI-E 2.0(x16), DDR3 1800/2000/2133, SATA 3Gb/s RAID, M-ATX

That site doesn't have any G.Skill RAM, but you can probably pick some up from somewhere else with free shipping. Keep in mind G.Skill tends to be hard to find in the UK. Also, you'll want to get DDR3, in a 2x2GB pack, of 1600MHz speed.

Anyway, those are £450 together, add maybe £60-70 got the RAM and then that leaves you just under £300 for hard drive, case, dvd drive and monitor.

sweet build okay that leaves some parts for my brother i think my brother can push a lil bit more around £50 for his rig. btw just a quick question I have p7p55d-e pro and it says x16 PCI-E but when am trying to max out my 5870 setting its only x8, why is that?

i meant like AA and such like theres 2x yeah and the max is 8x something like that..also in the game.
