Hi everyone

iam building new system and iam worried that when i use the boost that intel provides with their core i7 processors, it will overheat and crash. it would be nice to boost it up tp 3.2ghz but at what cost in terms of heat??? iam buying and aftermarket cooler (zalman cpns10x extreme) but iam still woried??? if you think i can overclock higher than that than what do you rcomend considering my cooler? my case if it helps is a haf 932.

thanks in advance

Most would recommend the Megahalems CPU Cooler with a push / pull fan config

Newegg.com - Prolimatech Megahalems Rev.B CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

I have no experience with this cooler, though.

thanks ifargle, soz i havnt been i steam latley my pc crashed and iam buying a new one. i was on my mums laptop when i typed this. i was going to get a new pc anyway when my ld one crashed.

My new pc spec are...

GPU- XFX radeon 5770
MOBO- gigabyte X58A UD7
RAM- corsair 6gb @1600mhz

PSU- corsair HX 1000w ATX (won it of ebay for the price of a 750 watt)
CASE- HAF932

do you think this will run empire total war on max settings ????

That sucks. My brother's computer just burned out, too.

That should blow past that game with ease

You should easily be able to run in the 3-3.8Ghz range with that cooler 24/7. Heck, depending on how comfortable you are with overclocking you could run it at 4Ghz
