Ports going faulty, kind of strange it doesn't detect on all. When you try it with your PS/2, post back the results.
Also you can try resetting your BIOS by removing the CMOS battery (or pressing a button or using jumpers...it depends on your board and should check the documentation of it) to see if everything goes back to default, and maybe the ports might just well work.
