I have a laptop thats a couple years old. It's a widescreen with a gig of ram and a p4 cpu. The screen has cracked after my youngest pulled it off the table and it hit a few things on the way down to the floor. I was wondering if it would be worth it to keep maybe ill come across a screen for it later, i know they are expensive to replace. I just don't know what to do with it now. Any suggestions?

You can troll ebay and look for an oppisitely broken one, and use it to repair yours.

There are uses for your system, such as a slim media server... Use the external outputs.

The real answer depends on your saveyness and lifestyle.

If you have use for the laptop you could find a replacement (used) monitor online pretty cheap. Get one off a laptop that isn't working.

If you are into compute rrepair or fix computers semi regularly it would be worth keeping around for spare parts.

Is there anything i could use it as, like a server of some sort, would it make good network storage? Just thinking of all the possibility's
