Hello all,
My dad has a Dell Latitude D620. He complained his touchpad button was sticking. I took his laptop apart pulled the monitor/ keyboard, hard drive and battery just to get to his touchpad. I removed whatever was causing the problem. I connected everything properly and put all hardware together. I turned on the computer and it turns on but now the screen is blank. I have no clue of whats going on. I'm very frustrated, please help!

Thanks!

I would say you should look and see if the monitor connection is ok. I don't know a whole lot about all the internals of a laptop, but I would say it has something to do with how you hooked it all back up. One of the connections might not be back completely.

Check your Ram. I had this same problem with my acer aspire, turned out a Ram slot was bad. Depending on how much you have, just test your slots one at a time. Of course take the battery out, and to feel safer use a anti-static wrist strap. Let us know what you find.
